It is being billed as Saskatchewan’s largest World Curling Tour event.

24 teams including Brier champ Brendan Bottcher, two-time provincial champ Matt Dunstone and Kevin Koe will compete at the IG Wealth Management Western Showdown in Swift Current from October 8-11 at the Swift Current Curling Club.

The triple knockout event has a $50,000 prize purse and valuable Olympic trials points as teams look to gain points to be selected for the Olympic trials in Saskatoon in November.
