Top 10 finish for Yorkton’s Johnson in first pro tournament

Yorkton’s Kade Johnson had a successful debut as a professional golfer.

The 23-year-old competed in the Mackenzie Tour’s Prince Edward Island and he had no problems moving up into the pro ranks as he finished ninth shooting a four under 284 despite a final round of two over 74 which left him five back of the winner–Michael Blair of Ancaster, Ontario.

Johnson will be back on the course later this week as he competes in another event in Prince Edward Island.  One of the six events Johnson is planning to play on the Mackenzie circuit is the Elkridge Open in Waskesiu September 6-12.
