A Moose Jaw man is facing numerous charges, including three counts of assaulting a police officer, after an incident in that city early Sunday morning.
Around 1:00 a.m. officers responded to a break and enter at a residence, where a man had stolen several items.
When police arrived the man fled, and a K-9 unit was deployed to track him down.
The suspect entered a nearby backyard and assaulted the property owner when he was confronted, he was then confronted by police shortly after and assaulted three officers during the course of his arrest before a taser was used.
As a result, Chris Silzer, has been charged with three counts of assaulting a police officer, breaking and entering, uttering threats, assault causing bodily harm and numerous breaches of court orders.
Silzer has been remanded until a court date set for Monday.
