The threat of overnight lows dipping below zero degrees are causing Environment Canada to issue frost advisories for a large portion of Saskatchewan.

Environment Canada says the low temperatures are caused by a ridge of high pressure coming in from Alberta, which will clear out any cloud cover and decrease wind speeds in the impacted areas.

A warmer air mass coming into the province will keep temperatures above the freezing mark.

The weather office says any frost=prone plants should be covered if possible.

As of 4:00 PM Thursday afternoon, Regina is not under the frost advisory.
