A new grain hauling phone app has been launched by Go Grain.

Spokesman Gerry Ritz says the new app is free and allows farmers or shippers to post loads and drivers to competitively bid on them.

“What it does is line up the truck directly to the producer, the producer puts up a tender on the Go Grain website, and truckers take a look at it and  say ‘I can do that’, here’s the price,” said Ritz. “They negotiate a little bit, the make a deal, on Thursday, and the truck’s going to show up, and you have a real time view on the producer’s phone showing where the truck is.”

The Go Grain phone app is available free to download at the App Store and Google Play.
