Pats open season with 3-1 win over the Raiders

The Regina Pats kicked off the regular season with win on the road as they defeated the Raiders 3-1 in Prince Albert last night.

It did not take Connor Bedard long to register his first goal of the season, as he opened up the scoring for the Pats just over five minutes into the season. Bedard would add an insurance marker for Regina.

Drew Englot added the game winning goal for the Pats, Matthew Kieper backstopped Regina to a win making 21 saves.

The Pats and Raiders will square off in the backset of the home and home series at the Brandt Centre this afternoon.
