Red Leaf Pulp hosting producer meetings in Milestone, Indian Head and Pense

Red Leaf Pulp is hosting producer meetings this week in small towns outside of Regina with hopes of securing straw supply.

The first meeting is being held in Milestone Tuesday at their Masonic Hall. The Indian Head Elks Hall will be the site of Wednesday night’s meeting, and on Thursday, Red Leaf Pulp will host a meeting at the Pense Town Hall.

The wheat and durum straw pulp facility is anticipated to begin operations late in 2023.

Farmers are encouraged to attend the meetings to gain insight, ask questions, and potentially sign non-binding Letters of Intent if they are interested in selling the requested straw in the future.

Red Leaf would require 300,000 air dry metric tonnes of wheat and durum straw per year to support operations.
