WEATHER ALERT: Air Quality Advisories continue for central Saskatchewan thanks to wildfires

Air Quality Alerts continue to be in place across central Saskatchewan Tuesday morning, thanks to smoke from wildfires near Hudson Bay.

Saskatoon, Prince Albert and the Battlefords are all included in the advisory.

Shifting winds across the region on Tuesday will start pushing the plume northwards overnight into Wednesday.

As of 1:30 p.m. Monday afternoon, there were 12 active fires in the province. Seven are not contained.

A fire ban is in effect for all provincial Crown lands, including provincial parks for most of east-central Saskatchewan.
