The provincial government is reporting that are 650 new cases of COVID-19 in Saskatchewan Thursday, which is inflated due to a number of tests that were not entered into the provincial COVID-19 database.
It has been determined that 2,777 tests were not counted since Sept. 22 including 241 positive cases. This means 409 of Thursday’s 650 are considered new cases.
The 650 total positive cases come from the north west (141), Regina (97), Saskatoon (82), the south east (63), the north central (53), the central east (50), the far north east (31), the far north west (23), the south west (19), the north east (18), the south central (17), and the central west (16).
Another four people have died after testing positive for COVID-19. pushing the death toll to 737.
There are 348 people in hospital with COVID-19 — which is down. That number includes a record 78 patients in ICU.
Another 393 people have recovered, and the active case count is up to 4,564.
When it comes to tests, 6,145 were processed.
Another 4,449 new COVID-19 vaccines were administered, including 2,425 first doses.
