Regina Police investigating sudden death in Moose Jaw Police detention facility

A sudden death at the Moose Jaw Police detention facility has triggered an investigation by the Regina Police.

Members of the Moose Jaw Police discovered the body of a 40-year-old man in an individual holding cell Thursday morning just before 9:00 AM. Officers allegedly had been in conversation with the now-dead individual just minutes before this discovery.

Officers on-scene initiated CPR and EMS was called to continue resuscitation efforts, but the man could not be revived. He was declared dead soon after.

Moose Jaw Police has indicated they will fully cooperate as Regina Police conducts their investigation. The name of the deceased has not been released.
