Expect charges if you falsify a vaccine record card

Anyone thinking about falsifying a vaccine record card to make it look as if you are fully vaccinated can expect charges if caught.

The Ministry of Health, in an email, says “Falsifying vaccination records is an offence under the Criminal Code and that any complaints of alleged falsifying of vaccination records would be referred to police.”

As of October 1, a proof-of-vaccination against COVID-19 is needed to access many businesses, facilties and venues including Mosaic Stadium and the Brandt Centre.

Those who fake vaccination records could face a greater penalty than the fines that are paid for violating a public health order.
