271 new cases of COVID-19 in Saskatchewan on Tuesday

Another 271 people have tested positive for COVID-19 in Saskatchewan according to the provincial COVID-19 dashboard.

The new cases come from Saskatoon (81), Regina (35), the north west (35), the north central (30), the central east (25), the far north east (19), the far north west (nine), the south central (four), the south west (three), the south east (three) and the central west (two).

Two more people have died after testing positive to COVID-19, increasing the death toll to 753.

One more person has entered hospital to treat COVID-19, meaning a total of 348 patients are treating the virus in a Saskatchewan hospital, including 80 in ICU.

There are 478 people who have recovered from COVID-19, bringing the active case count down to 4,450.

Another 2,425 tests were processed.

As expected, low numbers of COVID vaccinations are being reported from the Thanksgiving long weekend. A total of 539 doses were administered on Sunday, including 264 first doses.
