A Colorado Low moving in could bring the first snowflakes of the season to southeastern Saskatchewan Wednesday night and into Thursday.

Environment Canada’s Terri Lang said about 20mm of rain is expected to fall, but that could change into snow Wednesday night.

“Yes, we are looking that the possibility that those first flakes will fly,” Lang said. “The precipitation could fall maybe as far west as Moose Jaw,” she added.

Lang also said she doesn’t expect much in the way of accumulation, with temperatures right around the freezing mark.

As of Tuesday morning rain is in the forecast for Wednesday afternoon in Regina, that changes to rain or snow on Thursday.

Normal daytime highs in the Queen City and Moose Jaw are about 12 or 13 degrees.
