A 16-year-old teen boy faces a number of charges after a firearms incident in Regina’s Washington Park neighbourhood on Friday afternoon.
Officers were called to the 700 block of Cameron Street at about 4:15 PM for a report of a firearm being pulled on another man inside of a house.
Police arrived and set up a safety perimeter, and eventually got everyone out of the house, including a 28-year-old male victim. Officers eventually found their suspect, who had a large knife, several rounds of ammunition and two improvised firearms in his possession.
The youth, who can’t be named, is charged with assault with a weapon, use of an imitation firearm in commission of an indictable offence, unauthorized possession of a firearm and unsafe storage of a firearm.
The 16-year-old appeared in court Tuesday morning.
