Busiest year ever for Sask. Provincial Parks

It has been a record breaking year for Provincial Parks in Saskatchewan.

In 2021, there has been more than one million visits to provincial parks breaking the previous record set last year.

Also this year, there was more than 400,000 camping nights spent in the parks, breaking a previous record set in 2016.

Campers are reminded to hang on to their annual park entry permits as they don’t expire until April 30, 2022 for events that are taking place in Provincial Parks that are open year round.

Winter offerings will include Christmas tree cutting in Cypress Hills, a Festival of Lights tour in Pike Lake and Candle Lake, Skate the Park at Echo Valley, plus snowshoeing, tobogganing, hiking and more at Buffalo Pound, Moose Mountain, Great Blue Heron and Duck Mountain Provincial Parks.
