The United States has informed Ottawa that come November 8, Canadians fully vaccinated against COVID-19 will once again be able to enter the country by land and ferry for non essential travel.
Land and sea borders with Canada and Mexico have been closed to those traveling for leisure since March of 2020.
Unlike those travelling by air, a pre-departure negative COVID-19 test will not be required for land and sea travelers, however border officers may ask for one during pre-entry screening.
The CDC still has not said what type of documentation will be required for proof of vaccination, or if mixed doses will be accepted, that form vaccination is not currently approved in the U.S.
Those with a double dose of Pfizer, Moderna, or AstraZeneca will all be welcome.
Canadian land and sea borders have been opened to non essential U.S. travelers since August 9.
