Another ICU record set

The number of people needing the intensive care unit in Saskatchewan because of COVID-19 continues to increase.

A record-high 84 patients are in the ICU.  This breaks the record of 81 set on Saturday.

In all, 333 people are in hospital with the province saying 251 of those are not fully vaccinated.

There are 320 new cases of COVID-19 in the province on Sunday. The new cases are located in the Far North West (5), Far North East (5), North West (43), North Central (20), North East (7), Saskatoon (69), Central West (9), Central East (38), Regina (64), South West (5), South Central (10) and South East (29) zones and 16 new cases have pending residence information. Five more people have died putting the death total at 781.

The active case count is back below 4,000 with the number sitting at 3,967.  The Saskatoon region has the most at 937,

Just under 3,800 vaccines were delivered on Saturday. 2,400 of those went to people who are now fully vaccinated. Over 764,000 are fully vaccinated.
