When the American land border opens on November 8, the city of Minot, North Dakota will be ready to welcome back Canadian tourists, that haven’t been allowed to take part in non-essential travel since March, 2020.

Executive Director of Visit Minot Stephanie Schobnrock, said there’s a lot of new things to discover in the “Magic City”.

“We have a lot of new restaurants, we have a wonderful new exhibit that is open at the zoo, we’ve got other new things like a golf simulator that is open, there is so much new that has happened in Minot,” she said.

Schobnrock adds Minot’s tourism industry is hoping for some pent-up demand.

She said Some hotels are offering rooms for as low as $80 a night in an effort to welcome Canadians back.
