Saskatchewan Liberals name new leader

 

 

Jeffrey Walters was approved as the new leader of the Saskatchewan Liberal Party by the Party’s membership on Saturday.

The Leadership Convention was held at the Davidson Community Centre.

Walters takes over from interim leader Robert Rudachyk, who served for the last 12 months.

Walters, is an Instructor of Sociology and Justice Studies at the University of Regina. Describing the Saskatchewan Liberal Party as being at a defining moment in its history, he says, “For the first time in a long time, our Party has a chance to build a new political majority, with people from both the left and right.”

Walters will lead the Saskatchewan Liberal Party into the 2024 Election.
