Impaired driving charges laid on Regina man after weekend crash in Harbour Landing

A 21-year-old man is facing impaired driving related charges after a four vehicle accident in Regina’s Harbour Landing neighborhood, Sunday evening.

Police were called to the 3900 block of James Hill Road around 7:00 p.m. where they learned that the vehicle in question was travelling north, when it became wedged between another north-bound vehicle and a south-bound vehicle, before hitting a parked vehicle.

Police also said the driver of the vehicle in question, was traveling at a high rate of speed with a person holding onto the hood.

Twenty-one-year-old Guruka Mbilizi is facing four offenses, including two counts of impaired operation of a motor vehicle causing bodily harm and exceeding a blood alcohol level of 80 milligrams.

Police added that only minor injuries were suffered by two people in the incident.

The accused was released and will appear in court November 3rd.
