The city committed an error earlier this month when they rejected a proposal to spend $100,000 on a feasibility study into a proposed new baseball facility that would go in the railyards in downtown Regina. That is the opinion of many in the baseball community.
They will try and let Council know that they should reconsider their decision today as a number of delegations will appear at a meeting today.
Representatives from the Regina Red Sox, the Western Canadian Baseball League, Baseball Saskatchewan and others will appear to let Council know why Regina needs a new baseball facility and how antiquated Currie Field is.
The meeting goes this afternoon.
