One hundred forty-nine new cases and four more people have died due to COVID-19 in the province.
Saskatchewan has now had 901 people die of COVID-19. Two of the fatalities announced were in the 80-and-over age group, with one from the 40-to-59 and 60-to-79 age groups.
The number of new cases consisted of 105 people who weren’t vaccinated, 41 individuals who received two doses, and three who were partially vaccinated.
The active case count dropped slightly to 1,104, with 177 recoveries. There are 168 people in the hospital, including 42 in the ICU, with 11 more in ICUs in Ontario.
The new cases bring the province’s total to 79,783 people who have tested positive in the province.
Another 2,039 new doses of COVID-19 vaccines were administered on the vaccine front, with 598 first doses being issued.
