The Saskatchewan government has signed a new sponsorship agreement with Canadian Western Agribition, providing 250 thousand dollars over the next 5 years.

Previously, Agribition had a 4 year, 200 thousand sponsorship from the provincial government.

Agriculture minister David Marit made the announcement at the official opening of the show Monday.

Marit says Agribition is an important economic boost to the provincial economy.

The show adds over 70 million dollars in economic activity.
