Laptops and donation money among items stolen from Carmichael Outreach over the weekend

Carmichael Outreach, an organization that has helped Regina’s homeless and less fortunate since 1988, has been the victim of a break and enter and theft.

On a Facebook and Twitter post Monday night, Carmichael said sometime over the weekend, their building on 12th Avenue just east of downtown was broken into, laptops and a safe that contained some donation money and donations for future fundraisers was taken.

The money was about to be deposited.

In the social media posts it stated that staff are “disheartened” with the knowledge the suspects would probably have known that Carmichael is a non-profit organization working with some of the city’s most vulnerable.

Carmichael also said they plan on continuing to support those who need it throughout the holiday season.

The organization added that no one was hurt during the incident.
