There was a huge donation made to battle cancer and support Stars air ambulance at the Hereford sale at Agribition.

Agribition president Chris Lees donated a heifer calf and the amount of support was 72 thousand dollars.

Lees says he and his wife have faced some health issues and wanted to give back to the community.

He says half the amount raised goes to Stars air ambulance and the other half to the Saskatchewan Cancer foundation.

Agribition officials say this weeks show has had high sales for the 12 national cattle shows, with a Saskatchewan Charolais bull going for 82 thousand dollars.
