It is not running at 100 percent yet, but the Saskatchewan Health Authority says the organ donation program is running again after being suspended due to shutdowns associated with COVID-19.

SHA Emergency Operations Chief Derek Miller said Tuesday the program is not running at full capacity though because of staffing vacancies mainly in Saskatoon.

While the program was suspended, the SHA says around 35 opportunities were missed to have an organ donation.
