The Riders defence will be missing a key member when they take to the field Sunday in Winnipeg in the Western Final.
Head Coach Craig Dickenson confirmed Friday that an injury suffered by linebacker Micah Teitz in the semi-final win over Calgary will likely prevent him from playing against the Bombers. While receiver Duke Williams did not participate through the entire practice Friday with defensive lineman A.C. Leonard not practicing at all, Dickenson thinks both will be able to suit up.
A lot of talk going into Sunday’s matchup is the fact Winnipeg did not allow a second half point against the Riders in their two victories, offensive co-ordinator Jason Maas isn’t that concerned.
They just made more plays than us in the second half of both games and you’ve got to tip your hats to them. “Maas said. “It’s up to us to match that intensity and that level of play in the second half and hopefully do it better early so we don’t have to come from behind.”
Game time Sunday is 3 and we will have it for you on 620 CKRM starting with the pre-game show at noon,
