The CEO of the Saskatchewan Chamber of Commerce, who is retiring in late January, says what he will miss the most is the people.
Steve McLellan says over the last fourteen years, he has been fortunate to meet great people, including the staff and Chamber of Commerce board members who are committed to the province and to the work of the Chamber.
He notes the Saskatchewan Chamber has been around for over a hundred years, and he is proud to be part of the work that has been done to advocate for the business community.
His advice for the new CEO is to meet Chamber members at their businesses, plants, restaurants and stores to learn what the challenges are.
The Saskatchewan Chamber’s website says its membership includes some 65 chambers of commerce and boards of trade who themselves have more than 10,000 members.
In addition, there are over 1,000 direct business representatives.
