Pats get doubled up by Winnipeg Ice

The Regina Pats were unable to shut down the league’s top offence as they got doubled up by the Winnipeg Ice 4-2.

Winnipeg’s big three, who sit top three in scoring, of Matthew Savoie, Connor McClennon, and Mikey Milne combined for four points including three goals.

The Regina Pats got goals from Zack Smith and Logan Nijhoff in the loss at the Brandt Centre last night.

Regina now drops to 13-17 and sits in a three-way tie for the ninth position in the Eastern Conference.

The Pats are set to be in action on Saturday after Friday’s game was postponed. They will be in Swift Current taking on the Broncos.
