Cattle marketings were light for the first week of 2022.

The provincial weekly cattle market update says there were no feeder steer prices reported for the week.

The average weekly feeder heifer prices were only reported for the over 800 pound weight category.

The price for over 800 pound feeder heifers was 164 dollars 67 cents per hundredweight.

Canfax reported 3,085 head of cattle sold in Saskatchewan last week, down from 11,343 head during the week ending
December 17th and lower than the 3,862 head marketed during the same week in 2021.
