Sale of game console leads to armed robbery

An online sale of a game console went awry – leading to charges against a youth.

Police were called to the 2700 block of East Howell Drive about a disturbance.

When they arrived they found an adult male suffering from the effects of bear spray. The victim had agreed to sell a game console – he was then attacked with bear spray by the 14-year-old buyer.
A fight ensued and police were called.

The accused male cannot be named under the youth criminal justice act, he has been charged with robbery, carrying a concealed weapon, and unauthorized possession of a prohibited weapon.

The youth made his first appearance in court on January 11th.
