Women facing theft and fraud charges in-relation to ‘financial irregularities’ at Mobile Crisis Services

A woman is facing theft and fraud-related charges after an investigation by the Regina Police Service (RPS).

61-year-old Arlene Irving was charged with both theft and fraud over theft and fraud over $5,000.

The investigation began in July of 2021 when Mobile Crisis Services contacted the Regina Police Service. The organization had undergone some changes in accounting and a transition into a new financial management system in March 2021. In that transition and accompanying audit by MNP, there emerged a pattern of financial irregularities.

Throughout the investigation, police gathered evidence that led to charges against Irving, who had moved to British Columbia.

Irving was given the summons to appear in Provincial Court earlier this week.
