Saskatchewan surpasses 13,000 active cases of COVID-19

Saskatchewan has hit over 13,000 active cases as the province reported 1,629 more new cases of COVID-19.

The active case now sits at 13,290 after 969 more recoveries.

Hospitalizations also increased by eight, with 252, including 226 inpatient hospitalizations and 26 ICU hospitalizations.

New cases were reported in the Far Northwest (19), Far North Central (4), Far Northeast (22), Northwest (62), North Central (122), Northeast (36), Saskatoon (452), Central West (43), CentralEast (119), Regina (358), Southwest (48), South Central (57), and Southeast (131). One hundred fifty-six cases are pending a residence.

The province also reported an additional 1,138 people are now fully vaccinated.

There were no new deaths reported by the province.
