A 41 year old man has been charged in a connection with an alleged assaults on two police officers.

On Sunday afternoon, just after 4:30, police were dispatched to a business on the 1700 block of East Dewdney Avenue on a report of a description of a unwanted guest.

Staff said the man was bothering customers and would not leave when asked by police.

When the suspect ignored an officer request, one officer grabbed the suspect by the arm, the suspect then proceeded to grapple with the police officer.

After a struggle, it’s alleged that the suspect spit into the face of the second officer.

41 year old Scott Flaman was arrested and is now facing a few charges including Assault on Peace Officer.

He appeared in court yesterday.
