Another event has been added to the inaugural FROST Regina that is set to open up next week, and this event features an Olympian.
Elvis Stojko is a three-time world champion, two-time Olympic silver medalist, and seven-time Canadian champion. He will be accompanied on Iceville, by a cast of professional figure skaters from the Canadian Ice Dance Theatre bringing fire to the ice.
Skating is replacing a drone show that was initially planned. The drone show had to be cancelled due to issues cited by the contractor related to COVID-19 and crossing an international border.
FROST on Ice will be a free show courtesy of the City of Regina; however, seating will be limited to the first 10,000 people to register.
Registration will open on Friday at 10:00 a.m. at frostreal.ca for FROST on Ice will take place on Saturday, February 12 at 8 p.m.
