Two charged with attempted murder following firearms incident

Two-man have been charged with attempted murder after a 42-year-old was sent to the hospital with critical injuries.

Two women were also charged with weapons and assault charges after the incident earlier this week.

Police were called to the 1600 block of Rae Street to report a firearm offence just before 9:00 p.m. Wednesday.

An investigation led to a description of a suspect vehicle, which was located at about 11:38 p.m. driving in the area of Badham Boulevard and Broad Street. Police conducted a traffic stop and arrested five people from the vehicle. Further investigation led to charges against four people; the fifth person was released with no charges.

22-year-old Phoenix Pierce Sangwais and 18-year-old Aiden Travis Junior Jim were arrested and charged with attempted murder and multiple firearm offences.

Police said that the victim remains in hospital.
