APAS calls for creation of Sask Farmer’s Advocate Office

APAS is calling on the Moe government to set up a Saskatchewan Farmer’s Advocate office.

President Ian Boxall says the proposed office would help farmers deal with various issues from nuisance complaints to land disputes with resource and utility companies.

He says it would be based on a similar Farmer’s Advocate office in Alberta.

A resolution supporting the establishment of a Farmer’s Advocate office was approved at the recent APAS annual meeting.
