SaskWheat says farmers are eligible to claim 67.93 percent of their wheat levy contributions as a qualifying expenditure on their federal tax return.
In addition, farm corporations may also claim 48.97 percent of their levy as a qualifying expenditure toward the Saskatchewan research and development tax credit program.
The farm levy contributions enable SaskWheat to continue wheat research development.
In the 2020-2021 crop year, SaskWheat committed over 10 million dollars to 50 projects.
