Sarauer endorses Beck for Sask. NDP leader

Just over a week after Ryan Meili announced he would be stepping down from the leadership of the Sask. NDP, it appears the first candidate to succeed him has emerged.

Regina Lakeview MLA Carla Beck received an endorsement from Nicole Sarauer Regina Douglas Park MLA in a series of tweets on Sunday.

Following Sarauer’s tweet on Sunday, Regina Rosemont MLA Trent Wotherspoon also showed his support for Beck.

Beck has not officially confirmed that she would be running for the Sask. NDP leadership at this time.

Since Meili announced he would be stepping down from the top of the Sask. NDP, Wotherspoon, Saskatoon Centre MLA, Betty Nippi-Albright and Saskatoon Mayor, Charlie Clark have announced they would not seek the leadership for the Sask. NDP.
