Pats frozen out of net in 7-0 loss to Ice

On a day when 620 CKRM’s Sports Cage had a Chase the Ace winner, the Regina Pats spent most of the night chasing the Ice.

The Regina Pats fell behind early and couldn’t come back against the visiting Winnipeg ice, losing 7-0Friday night.

Matthew Savoie scored twice for the Ice and Zachary Benson scored a goal and three assists. Drew Sim and Spencer Welke combined for 24 saves in the loss.

The Pats next action are close to must-win territory with a game in Prince Albert Saturday night against the Raiders. The Pats are six points out of a playoff spot with seven games to go.
