Cody Fajardo is once again ready to prove himself to Rider nation

Cody Fajardo enters his 3rd season as the Saskatchewan Roughriders starting QB.

Fajardo told Michael Ball on the Sports Cage that he knows people are still doubting him but uses his dad’s valuable advice to work through it.

” My dad taught me to believe in myself and I’ve carried that advice since I started playing football back when I was six years old,” Fajardo said. “It seems like every year I’ve played football people have doubted me, he’s not talented enough, he’s can’t do this and he can’t do that!”

Fajardo knows he’s in for a pressure filled season but he relishes the opportunity. ” Coming off back-to-back losses in the West-Final, hosting a Grey Cup, and having my first child mid-season, you couldn’t ask for a more stressful year but I just want to go out and prove to this province and this team that I’m the quarterback for the long haul,” Fajardo emphatically stated.

By the way Rider Nation, Fajardo realizes how much jersey’s cost fans, so while he is the quarterback of your favourite team, he promises not to change his number from 7 to his favourite 17.
