Regina Pats ‘guarantee’ win on Friday versus Winnipeg

The Regina Pats are making a bold prediction this Friday as they will be hosting the Winnipeg ICE.

The Pats are dubbing Friday’s relocated game, originally scheduled to be played in Winnipeg, as ‘Guaranteed Win Night.’

Due to extreme weather conditions in Winnipeg over the next several days, the Pats and ICE have agreed to a revenue share model, which will see the final two ICE home games played in Regina, this Friday and Saturday.

Shaun Semple, the owner of the Pats, said that the organization has decided to step up and help Winnipeg.

“With the unfortunate weather hitting Manitoba, our organization has stepped up to assist the ICE, and our dedicated fan base will now get additional opportunities to witness a potential first-round playoff preview,” he said. “On Friday night, we’re going to guarantee a Pats win as we make our push toward a playoff spot.”

If the Pats lose on Friday, all fans in attendance will receive a voucher for a free silver ticket to any regular-season home game next season.

The ticket vouchers will be distributed upon exiting the venue and will have no cash value, and will be based on ticket availability at the time of redemption during the 2022/23  regular season.

Proceeds from both relocated games on Friday and Saturday will be shared with the Winnipeg ICE via an agreed-upon revenue share model.
