Farm Credit Canada is giving 13 charitable and non-profit organizations in Regina $150,000 through the FCC Spirit Fund.
Carla Warnyca, the manager of community investment with FCC, said with over a thousand employees living in Regina, they need to give back.
“There is a lot of great work being done here. There is a ton of remarkable community groups in the City, and the FCC Regina Spirit Fund is just a way we help support their efforts to make Regina an even better place to live.”
She added that they are grateful to be a part of projects that will make the City of Regina a better place to live.
The FCC Spirit Fund has supported the completion of 224 projects, with more than $1.8 million being invested into local projects since the fund was created in 2008.
The next application process will be open in January of 2023,

| Cornwall Alternative School | $15,000 | Create an outdoor space where students can take pride in making cultural connections with guidance from teachers, counsellors and elders. |
| The Royal Canadian Legion – Regina | $10,000 | Renovate the museum to promote the three pillars of the Royal Canadian Legion: Veterans, Remembrance and Community. |
| First Nations University of Canada | $10,000 | Provide an accessible and inclusive outdoor play area for children of all ages and physical abilities. |
| Sexual Assault Services of Saskatchewan | $9,500 | Purchase magnetic whiteboards, interactive whiteboard technology, projector and printers to allow them to continue to provide resources at no cost to the community. |
| Autism Resource Centre | $5,500 | Purchase a washer, dryer, and shelving to help clients acquire new life and job skills. |
| Heritage Community Association | $5,000 | Build a community garden that will help address food security issues in the neighbourhood. |
| Theatre Regina | $5,000 | Purchase a wheelchair lift to make the theatre more accessible to all. |
| Coronation Park Community Association | $5,000 | Build a community garden with accessible plots for community members with mobility issues. |
| Regina Public Schools – M.J. Coldwell Elementary School | $5,000 | Build an inclusive playground for all children, including those with specific sensory needs such as autism. |
