Canada ended off the round robin portion of the IIHF Under 18 championships in Germany with a 6-5 loss to Czechia in overtime.

Penalties were the story of the game as Czechia went 4 for 7 on the powerplay which included the game winning goal.

Czechia was also able to keep Connor Bedard off the scoresheet, as this was the first game of the tournament the 16 year did not register a point.

Canada will move to the quarter-finals on Thursday where they will likely face either Finland or Sweden.
