Repairs continue in southeast Saskatchewan

Repairs continue in the aftermath of the winter storm that rocked the southeast portion of the province on the weekend.

On Monday night, SaskPower was able to restore power to Redvers, North Portal, Wapella, and the area south of Stoughton.

SaskPower is hopeful to have the remaining residential and farm homes to have their power back on line by 6:00 Tuesday night.

Since work has begun, crews have dispatched 600 power poles and 2000 cross-arms with additional repairs expected today. There are 216 technicians from around the province that are working to fix the power outages in the southeast.

 

Sasktel is also dealing with issues resulting from the winter storm from the weekend.

Phone and Internet Services has been restored for the communities of Carlyle, Kisbey, Kenosee Lake, Manor and Redvers.

Internet, wireless and landline services remain unavailable for the communities of White Bear and Storthoaks. Wireless services are still out in Blewett and Outram.

Crews are working to complete repairs, there is no estimated time of repair at this time
