The Dragon Boats are back this summer

For the first time in two years, the beat of the drums from Dragon Boats will again be heard echoing across Wascana Lake.

For two years the popular summer festival has to be put on hold because of the pandemic, but hopes are high for the return of the festival this summer.

“New to the festival is Paddle Boarding” according the festival president Barry Eisenzimmer.  “We’ve got more paddling venues, including several short events, that coast less money (to enter)”

“The biggest change is the date, as its been changed to August 26th, 27th, and 28th, instead of Labour Day weekend”.  The idea is to add more events, make it more exciting, and making it more accessible.

There are also some special areas for the kids, lots of food vendors, and other fun events planned for the three day event.

If you would like more information about the festival, maybe you want to compete, maybe you want to volunteer to help out.  You can find all of that information at the festival’s website.
