Regina Farmers Market excited for 2022 outdoor season

As spring weather has returned, the Regina Farmers Market is returning this weekend.

This Saturday, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. the market will kick off its 2022 outdoor season.

“We are really excited to kick off our 2022 outdoor season and return to our downtown home at City Square. We will carry on until October 8th, every Wednesday rain or shine,” said Adrea Propp, a marketing strategist with the Regina Farmers Market.”

Propp said that they have some new things coming this year to the market.

“I think there is going to be some really exciting new vendors that I already know are confirmed and our excited to be coming so hopefully lots of people are excited to try some new baking,” she said. “We have some really interesting pop-ups coming as well, so I am hoping people are coming to the market hungry because there is going to be lots of great food, there is going to be lots of great design, and there may even be some partnerships with a film and food event coming up as well in July.”

She said they are also excited to return with fewer restrictions this year.

“We are very much looking forward to having less of an adjusted set-up and getting market to the markets that we love,” Propp said. “We are really hoping to return that market magic and have music and dancers on the stage, as it makes sense for different groups to come out, having the community come out.”
