Loaded Shotgun leads to Weapons Charges

An investigation into a suspicious vehicle has lead to a total of ten charges for two individuals from Regina.

On May 10th,  officers responded to a suspicious vehicle driving erratically on Elphinstone street in Regina.

The officers discovered that the plates on the vehicle were stolen and attempted to stop the vehicle.

The car was abandoned in Wascana park. Officers used the canine unit and discovered a loaded shotgun near the vehicle.

Canine was able to successfully locate the two who fled the vehicle near 13th avenue and Pasqua street.

30 year old Dean Rowan and 26 year old Bryden Shingoose were apprehended and now face a number of firearms related charges.

Both accused made their first appearance in court today.
