Environment Canada models point to normal spring and summer weather in Southern Sask

Environment Canada’s senior climatologist says long-range models do not point to a repeat of last year’s drought in southern Saskatchewan.

David Phillips says western areas of the province are dry and eastern areas are wet.

But he says the province is approaching the rainy season of May, June and July.

Phillips says the weather outlook for the spring and summer in southern Saskatchewan is for average rainfall and temperatures.
