SaskPower advises farmers to “Look up and live” when moving equipment around power lines

SaskPower is warning farmers to watch out for overhead power lines during the busy spring seeding season.

SaskPower Media relations consultant Scott McGregor does not want to see a repeat of last year.

He says 2021 had over 280 farm-related power line incidents in this province, with one tragic fatality.

McGregor is asking farmers to “Look up and live” when moving large seeding equipment around power lines.

If a line contact occurs, he says the operator should remain in the vehicle if possible.
